Position Overview
The Business Development Executive (BDE) will be responsible for outbound prospecting, lead generation, and scheduling meetings for our sales team. This role is crucial in ensuring a strong sales pipeline and directly contributing to revenue growth. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator, goal-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Outbound Prospecting & Lead Generation
- Daily Call Volume: Make 50-80 outbound calls per day to engage potential clients and generate interest in our digital marketing services.
- Emails & LinkedIn Outreach: Send 30-50 targeted emails and LinkedIn messages daily to complement calling efforts and increase touch points.
- Multi-Channel Engagement: Use a mix of phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels to maximize outreach and response rates.
2. Meeting Scheduling & Pipeline Management
- Weekly Meetings Scheduled: Book 8-12 qualified meetings per week with potential clients.
- Monthly Opportunities Created: Generate 12-20 new qualified sales opportunities per month by identifying prospects with a genuine need for our services.
- Conversion Tracking: Maintain and optimize a prospect-to-meeting rate of 15-20%, a meeting-to-opportunity rate of 20-30%, and an opportunity-to-close rate of 5-10%.
3. Sales Performance & Revenue Contribution
- Closed Deals per Month: Contribute to a target of 8-12 closed deals per month by ensuring a steady pipeline of qualified leads.
- Revenue Impact: Play a direct role in helping the company reach its goal of 120 clients by the end of 2025, averaging 10 new clients per month (2.5 per week).
4. CRM Management & Data Accuracy
- CRM Updates: Maintain 100% accuracy in entering daily sales activities, prospect interactions, and pipeline data in Salesforce CRM.
- Pipeline Health Monitoring: Track and report on key performance metrics to improve forecasting and optimize the sales process.
5. Continuous Improvement & Market Feedback
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze prospecting results and adjust outreach strategies based on performance metrics.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and leadership teams to refine messaging and improve prospect engagement.
- Training & Development: Stay updated on industry trends and digital marketing solutions to effectively communicate our value proposition.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2-4 years of experience in a sales development or business development role, preferably in a digital marketing or SaaS environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate value propositions clearly and persuasively.
- Proficiency in Salesforce (or similar CRM tools) and sales automation platforms.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume sales environment with daily outreach targets.
- Ability to handle objections, build relationships, and generate interest in marketing solutions.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
